Managing Midi's
How to upload Midi's to the website.
Managing Midi's on the website
Please note you need to be an editor to follow this guide.
Uploading
- If you are signed into the website, you can either click Manage at the top of the browser, or click here, to get to the admin page.
- Once on the admin page click "My Midis".
- Click "Create New" at the top of the page.
- For now we will just cover a single file upload, so click "A single MIDI".
- Click "browse" to open the file picker, and select the file you want, and hit okay.
- Your file will be processed, and show some information from the discovery.
If anything looks off about the information displayed double check your midi in an editor. Most MIDI players follow the same logic, so there is a chance you will have an issue in a player. There are situations where this doesn't apply but something to be mindful of. - File out the information in the form being mindful of required information.
Title and Artist are required fields.
Further, we would prefer the name of the artist/composer to be in the field "Artist / Composer" while the game its from is in the "Source" field.
Such as:Title:Voice of No returnArtist/Composer:Keiichi OkabeSource:NieR: Automata - You can select to publish your Midi to one of the discords.
Please note that 'XIVLibrary' doesn't work and will be used to back fill later. - Finally hitting 'upload Midi'.
- You should see a success message should everything be in order, and a option upload another.
Managing
You can manage your Midis under "My Midis".
There you have a number of ways to sort and filter the midis you have uploaded.
Editing one allows you to unpublish from a discord, reupload the midi, or any number of various edits.
Including deleting a midi.
